　　 May 16, 2013，21 Space Art Museum as the pioneering non-for-profit private art museum in Dongguan hosts the Grand Opening in the ground floor outdoor exhibition hall at 11am. Meanwhile, it is also the opening of the first exhibition Visual Mix—1st Canton Contemporary Art Community Young Artists' Group Exhibition held at 21 Space Art Museum. VIP Guests are attended, including Minister of Publicity Department of Dongguan Municipal Committee Pan Xinchao, Dongguan Standing Committee Member of the Communist Party Liang Jindong, Chairman of Dongguan Federation of Literary and Art Circles Liu Jinming, Chief of Dongguan Municipal Bureau of Culture, Broadcasting, Press and Publication, Secretary of Dongguan Guancheng District Office Liu Linhong, the director of Hubei Museum of Art Fu Zhongwang, the director of Guangdong Museum of Art Luo Yiping. 21 Space Art Museum is situated in the heart of Dongguan City in China’s Pearl River Delta Region. It is close to Dongguan Municipal Square, surrounded by commercial and residential areas, covering from the ground to the third floor of the Hyphen Commercial Center with 7000㎡ in total. 21 Space Art Museum is constructed in collaboration between Guancheng District Office of Dongguan Government and Guangdong 21 Space Arts Management Co., Ltd in 2011.By taking the advantage of its unique geographical location, given on an international、contemporary、comprehensive and cross-disciplinary emphasis, the museum play in advocating for public and social integration and help the public understand and participate the contemporary art and culture. The afternoon symposium has invited some of the active curators, museum directors and art critics in China including Zhang Haitao, Biljana Ciric, Fan Lin, Hu Zhen, Cui Cancan, Wu Yangbo, Fu Xiaodong, Wu Hong, Feng Yuan, Xu Qiaosi, the deputy director of Shanghai Minsheng Art Museum Li Feng, the director of Lingnan Painting Academy Ye Xianming, the deputy director of Guancheng Art Museum Wu Wanxiong and the deputy director of 21 Space Art Museum Sen Wong. The symposium is divided into two sections: Section One is about contemporary art communities in China and in Canton; Section Two is about how to build a city through art?—the cultural policy and the art environment in Dongguan.
